Happy New Year. Thank you again for all the extremely generous gifts we received at Christmas, it is very much appreciated. It has been drunk, spent and eaten already.
Nile were delighted to start Forest School this week. They reviewed the safety rules, created hazard flags to get to know the area again and enjoyed a competitive scavenger hunt to end the session. The children were all very well kitted out, so please do make sure they have the same gear for the next 5 weeks.
In English this week, we have been focusing on writing instructions. In groups, we ordered instructions and identified the key features. We then created a useful bank of fronted adverbials to help us create instructions for an alien. Get ready for some messy instruction writing next week!
In Maths, we have been making progress in using the 12 and 24 hour clocks. Here is a challenge you can complete at home. Wonky Watches
