In English this week, the children have worked incredibly hard to produce a well written and thoughtful letter to the elderly residence at the care home. They have impressed all of their teachers with their positive attitude and excellent effort towards their learning. We are sure the care home will LOVE reading them. It will be exciting waiting to receive a letter back from our new friends. We have also enjoyed exploring lots of different books during our playful enquiry sessions.

In Maths, we have been focusing on adding and subtracting 2 and 1-digit numbers. Please find the sheets for this week attached if you want some extra practice Maths sheets

In Science, we continued to focus on the properties of materials and investigated which materials would best suit an umbrella for our very wet teddy. We conducted our own scientific experiments and worked on our predicting and concluding skills.

Phonics: we worked on these sounds this week -ie, i, i-e, igh, y

PE focus –  we have been continuing our work on jumping and landing. Here is an activity for you to practice at home Home PE Standing Long Jump
