What a fun packed, busy week it has been. The children were shocked when they learned about the negative impact pollution, poaching and plastics have on our environment and they were passionate about changing it. They had the attention of the whole school when we carried out a peaceful protest.
We have focused on the importance of showing gratitude and discussed everything we are grateful for. The children wrote a gratitude speech and created beautiful clay pots for parents to say a HUGE thank you for all the support given at home during lockdown. We hope you liked it!
In Maths, we have been increasing our confidence in addition and subtraction regrouping. Here are some games you might want to play at home:
Next Term
Our Topic next term is Bean to Stalk and the children will be learning all about the life cycle of a plant. In the first week, we will be writing instruction on planting seeds and recapping place value, addition and subtraction word problems.
We hope you have an enjoyable and restful Easter!
From everyone in Year 2
