What an exciting and adventurous week we have had! Our Super Happy learning has been full of amazing writing, mathematics, scientific discoveries and beautiful art. Next week our Super Happy journey continues (in fact, for a third week too!).
You can find our learning booklet for next week here.
Here is a summary of the learning that will take place:
English – We will continue with our story of the Super Magic Happy Forest, this time focusing on character and developing our own amazing characters by the end of the week. We will look specifically at what makes a good character – thinking about their personality, appearance and likes/dislikes.
Phonics – We will be introducing two new digraphs which are variations of sounds we have already learnt – ew and aw. We will also learn four new tricky words oh, their, people and looked.
Mathematics – building on our knowledge of counting in tens and solving addition and subtraction problems using these, we will be deepening this knowledge through problem solving.
Topic – to celebrate Mental Health Week we will have a special lesson provided by Ms Natale to talk about how we express our feelings and look after our mental health, we will also be learning about e-safety with Ms Glenister and will create our own posters to raise awareness about being safe online.
Art – We will have two special art lessons with Mrs Smith that are linked to Mental Health Week.
PE – We will have some fantastic active sessions provided by Mr Jackson, Mr Alfie and a very special dance session with Ms Natale which you can find the links to in our learning booklet.
We hope you enjoy this exciting adventure and we will see you all next week!
