Happy New Year and welcome back!
We are excited to be settled into our new space and embrace all the fantastic learning that will come from it. The topic this term is ‘Our Living World’ where children will learn about animals, plants and flowers. This week we have been learning about pets and how we look after them. During literacy we have been identifying pet names that rhyme (cat, bat, rat) and in maths we have created tally charts, pictograms and bar charts to record information about the pets we have at home.
Next week we will be starting an exciting whole school art project which will, when finished, be displayed in the school. If you have any spare materials, magazines or papers at home, donations would be greatly appreciated.
Reminders
- Now the weather is getting wetter and colder it is important that the children are dressed warmly and prepared to go outside each day.
- We advise you provide your child with wellies to protect their school shoes.
- Please make sure all of your child’s belongings are named!
- Junk modelling materials are always welcome.
