Mrs Sarah Khan – I am a Learning Coach and the Forest School Lead for UCPS. I have 16 years of working with children and Young People across a wide variety of settings, in London and Cambridge. My roles have included, learning Support Assistant, Senior Project Worker at CHYpPs, Teaching Assistant at Pupil Referral Units in London and Cambridge, Early Intervention Youth Worker, Play Worker with children with PMLD, Women’s Consultant Youth Mentor, Lead Youth Worker for The NCS, Nanny and Young People’s Worker For Diverse (RSE Teacher). My role(s) at UCPS reflect my previous experience which includes running Nurture Groups, ‘Nurture by Nature’, inspired by my Forest School training, Creative after school sessions and Forest School sessions.
I have a passion for supporting children’s well-being in a holistic manner, by listening, observing and giving children time to realise their own potential by facilitating and giving them the tools to do so. Also by celebrating their differences by recognising their SEN and supporting them accordingly. This is inspired by my brother who is neurodiverse, whom I also support.
I also love Performing and Visual Arts, textiles, woodwork, nature and animals.
